Launch of a new Interuniversity Diploma (DIU) in Personalized Cancer Prevention under the auspices of the Universities of Paris-Saclay, Rennes, and Lyon 1

The Universities of Paris Saclay, Rennes, and Lyon 1; Gustave Roussy, the Eugène Marquis and Léon Bérard Centers; the national Interception program, the national Cancept network, and the PRISM Institute announce the launch of a new Inter-University Diploma (DIU) dedicated to personalized cancer prevention.
Personalized cancer prevention has become a central issue in public health and the fight against cancer. It complements primary and secondary prevention efforts to reduce cancer mortality and also helps combat the significant rise in the incidence of certain cancers linked to aging, individual risk, and specific exposures.
The new roadmap for the 2026–2030 Ten-Year Cancer Control Strategy calls for more personalized screening strategies, tailored to specific regions and social contexts, different age groups, and individual risk of developing cancer.

The Inter-University Diploma (DIU) in Personalized Cancer Prevention aims to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement these new approaches to personalized cancer prevention: foundational concepts, existing scientific data, the practical application of this prevention with patients, and the medical, scientific, ethical, and psychosocial challenges involved, as well as the knowledge required for research and development in this field.
